From Earth We Are One, January 27, 2016
For thousands and thousands of years throughout known history, and probably much longer than that, mankind has pondered what happens when we “die”. Here are 4 theories exploring the unending drama and topic of what could be next…
Reincarnation is the belief that once we die, we come back as another human being or as an animal with no recollection of our past (although some people, particularly children, have demonstrated convincingly that they could recall their former life).
It is believed, particularly in Eastern traditions that if you treat an animal poorly, or if you consume its flesh through eating meat, for example, then you will come back as that animal to experience its pain. It is said that, only after you have overcome your bad karma (for the bad you may have done in a former life) will you be able to become a human again and be born into a life of luxury.
The beliefs on this vary, but this gives you an idea. If you would like, you can read more about it HERE
Heaven and Hell
This Biblical teaching, is possibly the most famous of all the theoretical beliefs regarding death.
The way it works is this life is a sort of trial period and how you treat others determines your after life. If you are cruel, judgmental, and, in short, a bad person without any remorse for your “sins”, you will be sent to hell. Here you will suffer for all eternity.
On the other hand, if you treat others good and are a good person all around, you will go to Heaven which is a magical place with incomprehensible beauty.
Once again, there are many different interpretations. In fact, Christianity has more than 30,000 denominations to prove it. Some people believe that unless you accept Jesus as your savior, you will burn in hell. Some also believe that regardless of who you are or what evil things you’ve done, if you genuinely ask for forgiveness before you die, you will go to “heaven”.
Being born again is the belief that you are an eternal being which is constantly coming back to Earth to not only help the human race evolve, but help create a better world.
People who adhere to this belief often say that dejavu is not just a strange feeling but a product of one of our former lives.
A Russian woman, named Tatti Valo, is someone who people refer to sometimes as being proof of this. Valo one day was sitting in class and recalls she completely forgot how to speak Russian, but began speaking foreign languages which left the teachers and students in shock and awe. This has been largely popularized by Professor Robert Lanza who states that the perception of the Universe and life itself are products of consciousness and the mind. He states that quantum mechanics helps us to understand this.Lanza is scientist in the fields of regenerative medicine and biology. He rightly asserts that current theories of the physical world do not work or make sense, and can never be made to work, until they fully account for life and the mystery of consciousness.
